Visit monastery and refugee camp in Dharamsala, Spituk monastery in Leh, Lamdon School, Leh and Tibetan children village in Choglamsar, Leh. In Agra visit Agra Fort and the beautiful Taj Mahal.

It all started with Delhi where you explore the monuments like Red Fort (closed on every Monday) and the famous and the largest mosque Jama Masjid, the crowded street market of Chandni Chowk where you will enjoy the rickshaw ride. To understand the education systems in metro cities you will visit a school in Delhi and involve in group discussions, debates, sports activities and social meetings. Also play a game called slum dog millionaire to examine the IQ level.
Visit Village of Hope foundation which is the largest leprosy colony in Delhi and houses people afflicted by leprosy, the foundation provides job opportunities, provide healthcare, education to children and skills for livelihoods. You will get involve to clean the village, teaching children, bandaging and book buddy. Later board the train for Pathankot and enjoy travelling with Indian Railways.
Dharamsala is a hill station and home to Dalai Lama’s residence in McLeodganj, here you will visit the monastery and Tibetan refugee camp where you will try to understand Buddhism and the way of life monks and nuns live. Then head to Manali, it is also a beautiful and popular hill station among tourist and trekkers. Sarchu comes on the way to Manali - Leh highway and you cross two high mountain passes (Rohtang Pass-3979m & Baralacha La-4890m).
Ladakh “land of high passes” is a region of India in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and there you will visit Spituk monastery and attend the Morning Prayer with monks, Dharma teaching and meditation classes with monks. Visit Lamdon Secondary School in Leh city to understand the Ladakhi culture and education system also participate in teaching children, sports activities, culture songs etc. Indulge in the project Lamdon Leh Water day in which work on cleaning the Indus River and learning how to maintain the water of river clean and its usage.
Tibetan children’s village where you will participate in group discussion, understand the culture deeply and indulge in some activities in the village. Take a flight to Delhi from Leh and from Delhi drive towards Agra and visit Agra Fort made of red sandstone and sister monument of the famous Taj Mahal.
Enjoy the sunrise with breath-taking view of White marble Tomb Taj Mahal also known as a symbol of eternal love. Later drive back to Delhi and fly back home at the end.

Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel for check-in, afternoon and evening free
Arrive at the international airport of Delhi. After a traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome) our KVT’s representative would assist you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Rest of the day is free to relax or we can explore the nearby area.

DAY 02 - Delhi
Sightseeing tour of Delhi and evening free
Today we proceed for the sightseeing tour of Delhi; we start with Jama Masjid, it is the largest mosque of Old Delhi and it was built between 1644 - 1658 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan who built the Taj Mahal and Red Fort. Then we visit Red Fort, it was the residence of the Mughal Emperor and the red sandstone walls of the Fort rise 33m high. Then we visit Rajghat which is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi located on the bank of Yamuna River. Afterwards we drive pass through Colonial buildings such as the President's House, the official residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931 and India Gate is a war memorial, also known as ‘All India War Memorial’. India Gate is 42m high located at the centre of New Delhi across Rajpath. Evening we have free time to explore the surrounding area or we can relax at the hotel.

DAY 03 - Delhi
Visit an upper class School in Delhi and explore about different cultures through stage shows
This morning we visit an upper class School (Private Senior Secondary school) in Delhi. We will explore about the different cultures of India through stage shows performed by the school students & also you can participate & learn few dance steps by the students. Return to hotel. Rest of the time free to explore the surrounding area or we can relax at the hotel.

DAY 04 - Delhi
Today again visit the same school and participate in different activities including group discussion etc...
This morning, again visit the same school to understand the study system in the metropolitan cities of India and we will explore the School & participate in different activities followed by group discussions, debates, sports activities & social meetings etc., Also play a game called slum dog millionaire to examine the IQ level. DAY 05 - Delhi
Visit Village of Hope and full day work over there
Morning we visit Village of Hope; it is a foundation providing shelter, care and job opportunities to people afflicted by leprosy. It is located within the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) leprosy complex in Tahirpur, Delhi; it houses 800 families in 792 houses, making it the largest leprosy colony in the national capital. Morning we work on making crafts like small souvenirs and later in afternoon we enter into the colony and paint the walls and doors of some houses. At the end we play some games in a small school located in the colony with the school children.

DAY 06 - Delhi
Visit Village of Hope and full day work over there and evening board the overnight train to Pathankot
This day after breakfast we again visit the village of hope and try our hands on dressing some leprosy patients and later we participate in some cultural activities with the school students. In the evening we will be transferred to the railway station to catch an overnight train to Pathankot.

DAY 07 - Dharamsala
Arrive Pathankot, drive to McLeodganj, later sightseeing of Dharamsala
Arrive Pathankot railway station and drive towards McLeodganj (Dharamsala) (Distance: 90km) and transfer to hotel for check-in, get freshen up and later visit Dalai Lama Temple in afternoon. Later visit Tibetan cultural Centre after that walk around the market and explore the surroundings. In the evening return back to hotel.

DAY 08 - Manali
Drive from Dharamshala to Manali, a picturesque drive through the lower to upper Himalayas
After breakfast, drive to Manali (height: 2050m / distance : 240 kms). The drive today takes you first through the large town of Mandi. Mandi has long been an important commercial centre. It is renowned for its 81 old stone temples and their enormous range of fine carvings. The town has remains of old palaces and notable examples of colonial architecture. Drive on through Kullu and reach Manali, with its wonderful views of mountains, rivers and pines. Manali, at the northern end of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, is a hill station situated at a height of 2050m in the Himalayas. It is a popular tourist spot for Indians in summer and a magical, snow-covered place in winter. Manali is also on the road to Ladakh via the valley of Lahaul and Rohtang La (3979m) which is the main attraction near Manali. Reach there and check-in to the hotel; evening we have free time to explore the beautiful town.

DAY 09 - Manali
Explore Manali
Today after the breakfast we will proceed for the sightseeing of Manali, visiting Hadimba Temple is an ancient cave temple which is surrounded by a beautiful cedar forest. It is a famous temple in Manali and visited by many tourists every year. Then drive to Naggar visit Naggar Castle which runs as a heritage hotel, it was built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu. Here we also visit Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery who was the reputed Russian artist and the gallery houses his rare paintings. Later after the visit return back to Manali and relax at the hotel. (Distance: 55 km)

DAY 10 - Sarchu
Drive from Manali to Sarchu
Morning after breakfast, drive from Manali to Sarchu (height: 4253m / distance: 222 kms), the border between Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul & Spiti) and Jammu and Kashmir (Ladakh), en-route pass Rohtang Pass (3980m) and a few villages in Lahaul valley like Sissu, Gondla and confluence of Chandra & Bhaga rivers at Tandi. The route provides you views of mountains, several streams/ waterfalls and hanging glaciers. A short stop at Keylong & continue drive to Sarchu en-route discovering Jispa and crossing over Baralacha La (4800m). Baralacha La has a small lake – Surajtal which is considered to be source of river Bhaga. Arrive Sarchu & installation at tented camp for the overnight stay. Evening time free to explore around the beautiful & huge campsite of Sarchu on your own.

DAY 11 - Leh
Drive early morning from Sarchu to Leh
Early morning departure to reach Leh on time. An hour after leaving Sarchu, you come to 21 hairpin bends known as the ‘Gatta Loops’ which takes you from an altitude of 4210m to a height of 4667m. Thereafter, the first pass that you cross is Nakee La (4,711m). The next pass, which is the highest altitude that you reach on today’s drive, is Lachulung La (5065m). Further on, the journey takes you over the second highest motor-able pass in the world – Taklang La (5336m). After the bump and grind of crossing over high mountain passes, the smooth fast drive on the stretch from Upshi to Leh comes as a welcome relief. Upon arrival, installation at hotel. (Distance: 251 kms).

DAY 12 - Spituk
Morning leave for Spituk monastery visit and later an introductory session on My Culture Your culture by Monastery head lama.
Morning after breakfast, we drive towards Spituk and visit Spituk Monastery; it was founded in 11th century and located on a hilltop; river Indus flows behind the monastery. The Monastery belongs to Gelugpa sect (Yellow Hat sect). Later an introductory session on My Culture Your Culture by Monastery head lama. He will teach about what Buddhism is all about and the life of the monks. The session is to understand how monks spend their life and values. Students may ask the questions to head lama if they want to. Transfer to your Camps to relax.

DAY 17 - Choglamsar
Drive to Choglamsar and visit Tibetan Children’s Village & participate in village activities
Morning after breakfast, we drive towards Choglamsar; it is an important destination for those who are interested in studying Tibetan Culture. Upon arrival, visit Tibetan children’s village where you will participate in group discussion, understand the culture deeply and indulge in some activities in the village. The Central Institute of Buddhist Studies located here features a Tibetan library, handicraft shop, restaurants and medical center. Later, transfer to our campsite in Choglamsar located near to Dalai Lama’s residence to relax.

DAY 20 - Agra
Fly to Delhi, drive to Agra & visit Red Fort
Early morning we will be transferred to the airport to board the flight for Delhi, arrive Delhi airport and we will be transferred to Agra by surface (Distance: 210 Kms), we reach and check-in to the hotel; later we visit the imposing Red Fort of Akbar (also known as Agra Fort), third of the Mughal Emperors, whose mighty red sandstone walls enclose the beautiful white marble Pearl Mosque and the palaces, halls, courtyards and fountains of his sons and successors, Jahangir and Shah Jahan.. After the visit we return to the hotel and relax.

DAY 21 - Delhi
Early morning visit Taj Mahal and later drive to Delhi airport to catch flight back home
Early morning we wake-up and visit the beautiful white marble Taj Mahal (remains closed on every Friday) during sunrise. Taj Mahal is a symbol of eternal love which stands on the banks of River Yamuna; it was built by the 5th Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631. The Taj Mahal is serenely beautiful and never fails to amaze a first time visitor. Later we drive back to Delhi. Few time free to explore the local markets of Delhi to do a last minute shopping and then you will be transferred to the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi to board the flight for back home.
