After spending a day for acclimatization start your tour by exploring nearby places of Leh like Leh Palace which is a nine storey palace built in 17th century; then head to Shanthi Stupa from where one can have a bird’s eye view of Leh city. Afterwards visit Shey Palace and Thiksey Monastery which resembles Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet.
A drive to Pangong Tso (‘Tso’ means Lake in Tibetan) (4250m) which is loaded with full of excitement and spectacular views beside the road, on the way comes world’s 3rd highest motor-able pass that is Chang La (‘La’ means Pass in Tibetan) (5360m). While returning back from Pangong Lake visit Hemis Monastery which is consider being the wealthiest monastery of Ladakh.
Khardung La (5602m) the world’s highest motor-able pass and is the gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys, the drive towards Khardung La is loaded with breathtaking views of Himalayas. After spending some time at the pass we drive back to Leh city. Visit to Lamayuru Monastery situated on the Srinagar to Leh road on a hilltop and then head to Likir Monastery which has a 23 meters (75 ft.) gold-covered Buddha statue.
Alchi Monastery is considered to be the oldest and famous monasteries of Ladakh and located in Alchi village on the bank of Indus River. The complex of the monastery is totally different from other monasteries in Ladakh and then we return back to Leh to conclude the tour.

DAY 01 - Leh
Arrive Leh and transfer to hotel, relax and acclimatize; evening a stroll in the market
Morning arrive at Leh airport by flight, our KVT’s representative will meet and greet you there and would assist you at the airport. Later transfer to hotel for check in. Due to the high altitude and barren landscape it becomes necessary on the very first day to take rest, therefore we take a full day rest in our hotel room. Drinking lots of water and a short walk in the local market at evening time is recommended. (3500m)

DAY 02 - Leh
Leh Sightseeing
This morning after breakfast we start our full day sightseeing tour of Leh. We start with Leh palace; it is a nine storey palace built in 1553. One can have a beautiful view of Leh city and its surrounding mountains. Then we head to Shanti Stupa which is a Buddhist white-domed stupa (chorten) situated on a hilltop in Chanspa. It was built by Japanese monks to promote world peace and it holds the relics of the Buddha at its base, enshrined by the 14th Dalai Lama himself. Afterwards proceed to Shankar Gompa (‘Gompa’ means monastery) which is located at 3 kilometers distance from Leh, it is a subsidiary of Spituk Monastery and belongs to the Gelugpa Sect. The Gompa is also the residence of Kushok Bakul (Head of the Gelugpa Sect). Later after lunch we take a day trip to visit Shey Palace which is noted for its giant copper with gilded gold statue of a seated Shakyamuni Buddha. Then we visit Thiksey Monastery, also famous for its 2-storey high statue of Maitreya Buddha. Later drive back to Leh and free evening. (3500m)

DAY 03 - Pangong Lake
Drive to Pangong Tso en-route cross Chang La (5360m)
Today we drive to Pangong Tso (4250m) en-route we cross the third highest motor-able pass in the world called Chang La (5360m), reach Pangong Tso in the afternoon and explore the beautiful lake side. Pangong Tso is a high altitude lake located close to the Line of Actual Control; one-third of the lake lies in India and the remaining two-third is in China. We stay in the deluxe fixed tents with all in room facilities available. (4250m | Distance: 170km appx)

DAY 04 - Leh
Drive back to Leh en-route visit Hemis Monastery
In the morning we have breakfast then board the vehicle for our return journey to Leh. On the way we visit Hemis Monastery, it is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Drukpa Lineage. It holds the distinction of being the biggest as well as the wealthiest monastery of Ladakh. The annual Hemis festival honoring Padmasambhava is held here in early June. Evening is free for us to explore the surroundings area in Leh. (3500m)

DAY 05 - Leh
An excursion to world’s highest motor-able pass Khardung La (5602m)
Today after breakfast we proceed for an excursion to Khardung La (5602m) the world’s highest motor-able pass. The drive is quite enthralling with views of Zanskar mountain range and it is the gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys. We reach to the pass and spend some time there then we drive back towards Leh. (3500M | Total distance: 90km appx)

DAY 06 - Alchi
Drive to Alchi en-route visit Likir and Lamayuru Monasteries
After breakfast we drive towards Alchi, on the way we visit Likir village to see the Likir Monastery located in Indus Valley; it is believed to be among the oldest villages of India. Likir monastery was founded in 1065 AD and it has a 23 meters (75 ft.) gold-covered Buddha statue. We drive to Lamayuru Monastery; this is one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Ladakh region. The monastery is famous for its rich wall paintings, collection of thangkas, murals, scriptures and statues of different forms of Buddha and other deities. Continue towards Alchi, reach there and check in into Hotel. Evening is free time for us to explore the surroundings in Alchi town and monastery on our own. (3100m | Total distance: 185km appx)

DAY 07 - Leh
Visit Alchi Monastery and drive back to Leh
Alchi Monastery being the oldest monastery in Ladakh is the only monastery which is not located on a hill top. The monastery is located on the south bank of the Indus River. The foundation of the monastery was laid by Tibetan translator Rinchen Zangpo in the middle of 12th century. It has three main structures known as Du-khang, Sum-tsek and the temple of Manjushri. After a fabulous visit to the monastery we head back to Leh, afternoon and evening is free to explore the local market in Leh. (3500m | Distance: 70km appx)

Today you will be transferred to Leh airport to board the flight to Delhi.
