KVT Holidays - Ladakh Treks: Land of Ladakh Trek

The tour starts from Delhi where you will be met at the airport and transferred to hotel. Next day we will take the morning flight to Leh crossing over the great Himalayas. After acclimatization in Leh, we will explore this enchanting town and the magnificent local monasteries. From Leh, we will head to Likir to start our trek.

This beginning of our trek seldom goes higher than 4,000M as we walk through the lush green Indus valley inhabited by Ladakhi people with their unique ancient culture and customs. We pass through the breathtaking canyons and enjoy the views of pastel mountains with snow covered peaks. Surrounded all around by hard arid desert landscape, one is amazed to see this lush fertile oasis complete with farms and orchards.

The second part of our trek uses a very less traveled route, high over mountain ranges lining the Indus valley and heading to Tar La (5,250M). This region of high passes and mighty peaks is often softened by the immense charm of Ladakhi villages like Yangthang, Rizong, Khalsi, Lamayuru, Wanla, Urshi, Mangyu etc. and indeed the panoramic view of Ladakh and Zanaskar mountain ranges.

We finish our trek near the famous Alchi monastery where from we head back to Leh. From Leh, we fly back to Delhi where we have an option of visiting the magnificent Taj Mahal in Agra or spend the day in India's capital city for individual exploration / relaxing.

Day 02: Delhi - Leh by air, transfer to hotel
Day 03: Leh full day sightseeing
Day 04: Leh monasteries tour
Day 05-14: Trekking period
Day 15: Trek ends, transfer to hotel in Leh
Day 16: Leh - Delhi by air, transfer to hotel
Day 17: Delhi sightseeing or optional trip to Taj Mahal
Day 18: Morning free, evening departure transfer to airport
