Trek Summary
As the name suggests, this trek is unique in its scope as it traverses through some of the remotest and highest inhabited regions of the world. The natural scenery, rich culture and historic interest make this trek one of the most fascinating and rewarding experiences on the grand Himalayan circuit.

The grand traverse offers a combination of experiencing ancient Buddhist and nomadic cultures along-side the spectacular sceneries of Lahaul, Zanaskar and Ladakh regions. We cross the valleys with an average altitude of 4,000M passing through villages with their characteristic white-washed houses. The first phase of our trek ends in Padum, the capital of Zanaskar and home to the famous Karsha monastery.

We begin the 2nd phase of our trek from Padum crossing over several passes ranging between 4,000 to 5,100M. Our trek finishes at Lamayuru, home to one of the most famous and ancient monasteries of Ladakh, the Lamayuru monastery. From here we drive to Leh for a day of rest or individual exploration before catching our flight back to Delhi.

While in Delhi we have an option to visit the magnificient Taj Mahal or spend the day relaxing/exploring the nation's capital city.
