| Trek Summary |
After your arrival in Delhi we proceed the next day by car via Chandigarh to Manali- a popular hill station in the Kullu valley. Our trek starts from Nagger village, famous for its impressive castle and the Nicholas Roerich art gallery. Our trek will pass through two different valley systems and crossing the 3,660M Chanderkhani Pass where we can enjoy the panoramic views of Lahaul, Kinnaur and Spiti valley.
The village of Malana is particularly interesting. The locals here have a distinct language and culture compared to surrounding regions and are believed to be descendents of the lost armies of Alexander the Great.
The trek is generally soft with a few steep ascends and descends and ends in the pilgrim town of Manikaran, popular for its sulfur springs. From here we return to Delhi by car via Kullu & Chandigarh. In Delhi we have an option to visit the magnificient Taj Mahal or spend the day resting in the city. |
